Cyclists Reign of Terror Ends

Yesterday several St. Paul youths were honored for the apprehension of Edward Q. Day, a 26-year-old St. Paul male. Residents in the area reported that Day rode his battered 10 speed bicylce along the same route at about the same time every day, and that they had begun to fear for their safety.

The youths spotted him yesterday as he proceeded along his usual route. They pursued him on bicycle and immobilized him with baseball bats and numchucks.
“We were just plain fed up…it had to stop,” commented one of the youths. “The police have been unresponsive, so we finally just took things into our own hands, I mean, how far can you let something like this go?”

Actually, the police had been trying to track Day down for some time, but were unsuccessful due to his frequent changes of address.

Day could not be revived for comment.
