What is the most interesting thing you’ve learned so far this year, in or out of class?
Samantha Lotz , first-year English major, said she learned during psychology 1001 that facial expressions are universal.
She said experiments done with facial muscles found that particular expressions could be created by electrically stimulating different muscles.
This showed that everyone, regardless of culture, can produce the same facial expressions, she added.
“I just learned it today,” Lotz said on Friday afternoon.
