Sharkey’s liberal heroes

Writers at the Daily like John Sharkey are especially dangerous now because they confuse the root cause of problems. The message in last Monday’s column “Passing the Blame” amounts to the same tired ideas that conservatives are heartless people who hate minorities and that free market capitalism can only be saved by turning over more control to the government. There is only one problem with his premise: it is completely wrong.
What Sharkey really should be asking is why all his liberal Democrat friends killed the S. 190 [109th]: Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005 in committee. Then again, it’s much easier for Sharkey to parrot the liberal spin of their not being enough regulation then to do some actual research. However the facts would be against his liberal policies and heroes on the left.
