After nearly 40 years of business, Global Village Importers in Minneapolis will close Tuesday.
Located on the West Bank, co-owner Marcia Keegan said the closing comes because “sales were not there to support us and in these hard economic times we didn’t feel that we could keep up."
Global Village Importers specializes in unique items from countries such as India, Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar and Nepal.
Despite the Minneapolis location closing, the Duluth store will remain open.
