ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Friends and family of a missing University of St. Thomas student from Eveleth are waiting for news after a massive search turned up nothing.
More than 500 St. Thomas students searched a St. Paul neighborhood near the Mississippi River on Monday for freshman Daniel Zamlen, but didn't find him.
University spokesman Jim Winterer says Tuesday that the university has renewed its request that amateur searchers stay off the bluffs above the river, which is running dangerously fast.
The bluffs are slippery and crowds could obscure clues from professional searchers.
A St. Paul police spokesman says a team of specially trained and equipped volunteers are searching the area Tuesday.
Zamlen was last heard from early Sunday. He turns 19 on Wednesday.

Dissociative
While anything is still possible his reaction to a normal dispute might point to a mental event and Dissociative Fugue. Subliminal Distraction, discovered to cause mental breaks for office workers, is a high risk for college students. They have behaviors similar to knowledge workers in business offices. Long periods of intense full mental investment to study or use a computer will allow SD exposure if there is movement in peripheral vision.
The mental event is believed to be a harmless temporary episode of confusion. But VisionAndPsychosis.Net has a six year investigation that shows otherwise.
If he is a fugue victim he would have some level of amnesia an might be miles away.
