Goldie mocks prayer at Penn

I am a Penn State alumnus and have admired the University of Minnesota athletic program for years. As we do at Penn State; the University has always shown the utmost respect for the competition. But Goldie’s pre-game actions were an example of disrespect at its worst. In front of nearly 100,000 fans, your mascot mocked a Penn State player as he prayed before the game. This can be confirmed if you listen to the audio carefully.
Like the athletes, mascots should consider themselves as role models for younger people. The actions of your mascot were deplorable and a disgrace to the University, the Big Ten, and collegiate athletics in general.
