Buffalo Wild Wings Grill and Bar

Buffalo Wild Wings began construction Wednesday for its new restaurant in the historic Station 19 building, across from TCF Bank Stadium. The Minneapolis City Council approved the bar’s liquor license Sept. 3 with a few conditions set by the community to ensure it operates responsibly, Ward 2 city council member Cam Gordon said. “I that this is something that will really help Station 19 building,” Gordon said. “Not only is there the potential to bring some kind of economic development and small business to serve the community they’re in, but also it’s something that’s going to help support the other businesses in the Station 19 building.” In addition to the liquor license, the city also approved an outdoor patio to seat 116 people. The restaurant is scheduled to open in December.

Jimmy John’s

A new Jimmy John’s sandwich shop will open in Stadium Village later this month between the existing Domino's Pizza and Stub and Herb's on Oak Street Southeast. The building it will occupy has sat empty since Milio’s Sandwiches left it a year ago. The shop is currently going through significant remodeling. The opening is concurrent with protests by Jimmy John’s employees for higher wages and a better working environment.
