-The 58-0 beatdown is tied for the second-worst shutout loss in Minnesota history. In 1991, the Gophers lost 58-0 to Colorado. Oklahoma handed Minnesota its worst loss, 63-0, in 1986.

-The shutout is Michigan’s first since 2007 and the Wolverines’ largest margin of victory since 2000, when they beat Indiana by the same score.

-Michigan running back Vincent Smith is just the fourth Big Ten player since 2000 to throw, catch and run for a touchdown in the same game and the only non-quarterback to do so. Smith is also the first non-quarterback to throw a touchdown for the Wolverines since 2007.

-Michigan’s first non-touchdown scoring drive came at the 5:20 mark in the second quarter. The drive still resulted in the first of Brendan Gibbons’ three field goals.

-Denard Robinson, whose completion percentage was less than 50 percent prior to Saturday, completed 78.9 percent of his passes. His 16 completions were a season high.

-Michigan running back Fitzgerald Toussaint ran for a career-high 108 yards. The Wolverines ran for 363 yards as a team on the afternoon.

-Michigan outgained Minnesota 384 yards to 69 and averaged nearly 10 yards per play in doing so.

-Gophers freshman wide receiver Devin Crawford-Tufts made his first career reception Saturday. He finished the game with two receptions for 15 yards.

-Running back Devon Wright carried the ball for the first time in his career against the Wolverines. He lost a yard on his only carry of the game.
