Kaler to speak at Job Summit

He'll address job creation and the University of Minnesota's contribution to the state.
October 24, 2011

University of Minnesota President Eric Kaler will join Gov. Mark Dayton’s Job Summit to address job creation, innovation and research Tuesday.
His speech, “Innovation, Research, Jobs: A Call to Action,” will focus on the University’s role in state economics, and University’s technology transfer program.
Since taking office in July, Kaler has campaigned across the state, reaching out to businesses and investors to promote the University’s image as a job-creating institution in response to dwindling state support.
The summit will be at the Crowne Plaza Riverfront Hotel in St. Paul at 7:00 a.m. Kaler is scheduled to speak closer to noon. Gov. Dayton will give the closing remarks at 4:30 p.m.
