I might be in the minority, but I really like Miley Cyrus’ new album “Bangerz.” I hate the name of it, but I like the music nonetheless. Some of the songs are really dumb (I’m looking at you, “4x4”), but most of them tell the story of her tumultuous relationship with Liam Hemsworth. If you skip the party songs, you will hear some really great ballads that literally every person who has ever had feelings can relate to. And I would argue that it is the perfect soundtrack for a breakup.

It starts off with “Adore You” which talks about how much she loves her fiancé. It is both beautiful and heartbreaking, since you know how the story ends. And unless you live under a rock, there is a good chance you’ve seen the music video for “Wrecking Ball.” If you ignore her naked antics and actually listen to the song, she talks about how their relationship fell apart. It’s kind of interesting — and relatable — to hear about the demise of their engagement.

Once you get out of the sad stage, you start listening to “FU.” This is the only song you will ever need when you’re angry. This isn’t just a great breakup song; it’s a great “I hate you” song that can be directed at anyone who offends you. This is actually the track that starts playing in my head when I see someone wearing Crocs.

The album ends with “Someone Else,” which details Miley’s journey from Hannah Montana to the twerking Miley we all know and love. She explains that she has changed and if Liam can’t deal with that, then sorry. If you weren’t team Miley already, you should be now. Besides, Chris is definitely the hotter Hemsworth. Am I right, ladies?

So the next time you have an emotional crisis, just listen to “Bangerz.” It will make you feel better emotionally, even if the bass gives you a headache.
