Reward upped for Ty Hoffman info

Almost one month ago, 44-year-old Lyle Marvin “Ty” Hoffman allegedly shot his business partner, Kelly Phillips, outside of a gas station in Arden Hills, Minn., according to news sources.

Phillips may have been Hoffman’s one-time lover. Since then Hoffman has been on the run, and the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office announced today that they were raising the reward for information on Hoffman’s whereabouts from $25,000 to $40,000, according to the Pioneer Press.

The money will be awarded to anyone with information that leads to the apprehension of Hoffman, who is also believed to have robbed a TCF Bank location in Blaine, Minn., on August 31, according to the Star Tribune.

Hoffman may have been spotted at the Mystic Lake Casino in Prior Lake, Minn., days after the bank robbery in Blaine, KARE11 reported. According to KARE11 , the bills Hoffman stole from the bank were stained red during the robbery in order to make them more traceable.

Hoffman is considered armed and dangerous, according to the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office’s release.
