The Gophers dance team capped off yet another successful season on top of the college dance world Sunday when they were named the 2012 Division 1A Jazz Nation Champion and the 2012 Division 1A Pom National Champion.
Minnesota participated at the 2012 College National Championship at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fl., a weekend long competiton that stretched from Jan. 13-15, but did not dance until Sunday. This is the second year in a row the Gophers have been earned the honor as national champions at the College National Championship.
While Minnesota walked away as the national champion in Jazz and Pom, the University of Memphis was named the 2012 Division 1A Hip Hop National Champion.
