At the Half: With Andre Hollins out, Big Mo takes over

Williams Arena went silent when Gophers leading scorer Andre Hollins went down with an apparent ankle injury 16 seconds into the game.

It was roaring minutes later as the Gophers jumped out to an early advantage on the strength of 12-consecutive points from junior center Mo Walker. How impressive was the streak? His previous game-high for points scored was 11.

Walker finished the half with 14 points. Minnesota leads the points in the battle battle 22-10. The Gophers also have a significant edge in rebounding, where they lead 21-13.

Minnesota is even outshooting Wisconsin. The Gophers have hit on 15 for 29 from the court. Wisconsin has hit on just 11 for 28.

The Gophers basketball Twitter account tweeted that Hollins had an ankle injury and his return is questionable.
