The Canadian 4x100-meter medley relay team failed Friday to qualify for Saturday's final.
The team finished sixth in its heat with a time of 4:02.71 and 12th overall. The top eight teams advanced to the final.
Canada left former Gophers swimmer Jillian Tyler off the lineup. Fellow breaststroker Tera Van Beilen earned the spot after finishing in a tie for eighth place in the 100 breaststroke Sunday. She missed the final after losing the swim-off to Jamaica's Alia Atkinson. Tyler placed 14th overall.
Tyler's Olympics are officially over.
