Why? Because looking at the twangy lineup will probably make you smile, not squint. Call me old-fashioned, call me country, call me whatever you want — but make sure you let me call shot-gun when you’re on your way to Winsted, Minn., for the Winstock Country Music Festival.
I hate to be the one to break this bummer news, but there’s no bus or train to take us out to Winsted. I looked up walking directions on Google maps — from campus, it will take about 14 hours. The fest is the second weekend of June, so you have time to figure out how to get there. The good news is that you don’t have to drive back and forth – camping is allowed. Yeehaw! Here's the lineup:
Friday, June 8
Martina McBride
Willie Nelson
Sunny Sweeney
The Tim Sigler Band
Wade Bowen
Wylee Band
Saturday, June 9
Blake Shelton
Gary Allan
Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
Uncle Kracker
Frankie Ballard
Rocket Club
Brett Eldredge
Dustin Lynch
