The Minnesota African American Museum and Cultural Center opens its doors today. Tomorrow, the educational center will hold its very first Legacy Festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The theme of the fest is baseball: MAAM will give limited tours of the "Bringing it Home" exhibit, which is all about Black N' Brown baseball in Minnesota. Former Twins players will be on deck and there's going to be a batting cage in Stevens Square Park. T.C. Bear himself will make an appearance too!
Check out MAAM's visually striking webpage here and their @Twitter account #here to learn more about their mission, educational efforts and where to park tomorrow.
