Paul McCartney to play at Target Field

Minneapolis is among the five U.S. cities that were announced today as additions to Paul McCartney’s ongoing “Out There” tour, which is still a work in progress according to his website. The rock legend will be playing at Target Field on August 2nd, with tickets available to the public April 28th at 10 a.m. American Express card members have early access starting this Thursday, and season ticket holders can buy starting  Friday.

McCartney has made his way around the globe since the long and winding tour started nearly a year ago on May 3rd, 2013.

His set list consists of highlights from his entire career, from “All My Loving” and “Hey Jude” to last year’s “New.”  As the tour started again this month after a break, only one change to the list has been noted so far, though he has been known to tweak things in the past.

Maybe I’m amazed, since this is only the sixth time that McCartney will make the trip to the Land of Lakes. His other five performances were spread since the historic Beatles concert at the Metropolitan Stadium in 1965 — the only time the Fabulous Four played in Minnesota.

Needless to say, countless Minnesotans are frenzied over the fact that Paul will be here for Another Day.
