As Minnpost's David Brauer notes in his Daily Glean today: "You can see the fat lady's adenoids, at least in Minnesota."
That's in reference to a new MPR/U of M poll that puts Obama ahead in Minnesota by an astronomical 19 points. Read the write up here
While no one ever really doubted the Land of 10,000 Lakes' blue-ness, as it were, there were polls in the past that put this race much closer here.
But I'd say it's safe to say if the race for Minnesota was a high school football game the student section would now be chanting "warm up the bus."
A 19-point lead, less than a week before Election Day is enough to get the U's own, ever-diplomatic professor Larry Jacobs to wax pessimistic about the state of affairs for the McCain camp in Minnesota.
"If I'm a John McCain supporter, I'm concerned," Jacobs told MPR. "This is just not good news."
Interesting note from the results: While Obama has a 19-point lead overall, he has a landslide 33-point advantage with voters earning less than $50,000 a year.
