DFL gubernatorial candidate Margaret Anderson Kelliher is set to announce more labor endorsements Friday at a press conference in St. Paul.
Currently, 12 unions comprising about 200,000 workers back Kelliher, a spokesperson said.
The announcements come in the wake of the Minnesota branch of the AFL-CIO declining to endorse a candidate Wednesday.
According to the Star Tribune's Hot Dish Politics blog:
Kelliher has a "long list of union nods including: AFSCME 65; Education Minnesota; International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Minnesota State Council; International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 49; Laborers District Council of Minnesota; Minnesota Association of Professional Employees; Minnesota Nurses Association; United Auto Workers of Minnesota; UNITE HERE! and the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters."
