According to the Star Tribune, Minnesota Republican Michelle Bachmann, former Republican nominee, announced today she will endorse Mitt Romney for the Republican nomination.
Bachmann appeared with Romney at a rally in Portsmouth, Va. and asked Republicans to come together to defeat President Barack Obama in the November election.
While running for the nomination, Bachmann criticized Romney’s conservatism and health care reform plans. Bachmann dropped out of the race on January 4th after low rankings in the Iowa caucuses.
According to the Star Tribune, former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty chose to endorse Romney after he ended his campaign, but Bachmann did not follow suit.
The endorsement comes almost four months after she ended her own campaign on January 4th after low rankings in the Iowa caucuses.
