Chipotle prices soon to rise

According to the Associated Press , Chipotle will soon be raising food prices to counterbalance a spike in beef and chicken costs.

As of August wholesale food prices have increased 8.7 percent. For all of 2007, the prices bumped 7.6 percent.

Fellow fast food restaurant McDonald's, server of billions, is considering a spike in prices as well. The changes could affect the popular dollar menu, for which the company advertises heavily.

Check back soon. The general manager from Chipotle in Stadium Village will be on campus Friday.

I think it's unfair that they increased the prices and downsized the portions,

I went into one, about to months ago, to find that the tacos had been reduced to three from four. I was outraged!

Also, the other stuff wasn't too bad, although I did see some holding back on the meat, Barbacoa specifically.

We should start a petition.
