On Tuesday, the city of Minneapolis will hold a meeting to allow people to comment on the proposed plans for Hennepin Avenue.
Hennepin Avenue and 1st Avenue N. in downtown Minneapolis will be converted from one-way streets to two-way streets by the end of 2009. Questions from the public will be answered by project managers, who will attend the meeting. The issue of how to incorporate bikes lanes into the design will be addressed.
These changes will affect not only those who drive on these streets, but pedestrians, bicyclists and users of mass transit.
The meeting will be held tomorrow from 4 to 5 p.m. in City Hall room 319 at 350 S. 5th Street.
UMN students have traveled to Florida colleges to collaborate with students on various projects.
When UMN students plan for a vacation, having trip cancellation travel insurance is a worthwhile commodity to check out.
