The University of Minnesota will hold three blood drives during February, competing against the University of Wisconsin to donate the most blood to the American Red Cross, according to a press release.
Blood donations decrease in the winter because of cold and flu season, according to the release. The "Border Challenge" will attempt to fill this void and will end Feb. 29.
Opportunities to donate:
Feb. 6 from noon to 5 p.m. at Coffman Union
Feb. 22 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Comstock Hall
Feb. 27 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 106 Pleasant St.
