Folk band Trampled by Turtles appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman Tuesday to play a song from their new album "Stars and Satellites" in their national television debut. (Video appears below.)
The band hails from Minnesota, and is hitting the big time in recent weeks. They recently played a show at First Avenue, in which Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak declared it "Trampled by Turtles Day" in Minneapolis and Duluth. The mayor then proceed to take a stage dive along with Duluth Mayor Don Ness.
More importantly, one band member is apparently a graduate of Mankato East High School, where I graduated in 2008. (Mankato, FTW!)
UMN students have traveled to Florida colleges to collaborate with students on various projects.
When UMN students plan for a vacation, having trip cancellation travel insurance is a worthwhile commodity to check out.
