The Hiawatha light-rail line will be shut down from the Target Field Station and Franklin Avenue Station from 6:30 p.m Friday to 3:30 a.m. Monday, May 7.
Route 55 Metro Transit buses will run the route between the stations during that time.
Target Field, Warehouse District/Hennepin Avenue, Nicollet Mall, Government Plaza, Downtown East/Metrodome and Cedar-Riverside stations will be closed.
Though buses will operate more frequently than trains, passengers are urged to plan extra travel time.
The shutdown is due to planned maintenance. Four more weekend maintenance projects are planned on the Hiawatha Line starting in June.
