A 28-year-old man died Thursday morning after being struck by a car on his bicycle near Shoreview, according to the Pioneer Press.
Joseph Hunt, of Shoreview, was biking in the eastbound lane of Highway 96 when he was hit, around 10 p.m, Wednesday night.
The car was driven by Bruce Akerman, 67, according to the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office. Akerman reported the crash and cooperated with authorities, the Star Tribune reported.
Hunt was taken to Regions Hospital by ambulance. He died of injuries from the crash around 1:30 a.m.
