A family in Oskaloosa, Iowa has unique decorations in their living room -- mammoth bones.

The family found the first bone two years ago, Discovery news reported, but kept it a secret until they decided they needed help digging up the rest.

"I got down on my hands and knees on the bank and I could see a marrow line around the edge of this and I said boys, that's a bone, that's a really big bone," John, the father, told ABC 5 of the discovery.

Most of the skeleton is intact, according to the Associated Press, which makes it a rare find.

The University of Iowa will assist in the excavation and run tests throughout the summer. They still have to find the mammoth's head.
