Student parents looking for childcare and child education programs on campus may find lengthy waiting lists, according to a Minnesota Daily report.
The University's Child Development Center has a 16-18 month waiting list, and the student-founded Como Early Learning Center has a waitlist of over 75 children, according to the centers' websites.
Though on-campus programs may be difficult to enroll in, Baby’s Space – an early child education center – will be opening a preschool program in late August near Como. The center is located at Tatanka Academy between 18th Avenue Southeast and East 24th Street.
Angie Wagner, Baby’s Space’s development specialist for the Minneapolis branch, said Baby Space in general caters to children grades K-3, but that the program would be only for children preparing for kindergarten.
UMN students have traveled to Florida colleges to collaborate with students on various projects.
When UMN students plan for a vacation, having trip cancellation travel insurance is a worthwhile commodity to check out.
