Greetings Blogosphere:
After a night of mayhem showing support for a local Fraternity's initiative, I awoke realizing that my Evolution Assignment was due by noon. Quickly making a Bond like effort, I finalized the assignment, called the Black Student Union office and had our Freshman Rep, Sam Ndely, print and staple it, jogged from dinkytown to coffman, grabbed the assignment and dashed to the connector for Saint Paul Campus. Enters the disconnection:

Time: 11:40 AM
Assignment Due: Noon at the Ecology building on the top of the hill on Bufford circle.
Ladies and gentlemen, being a college of biological sciences major, I hereby testify that I've taken many a rides on our dear campus connector for my various Saint Paul Campus courses. It seems, to me, that during rush hour "UofM", our dear connector ride has become everlovingly slow
. A trip that used to take at most 10 minutes has now become a 20 to 25 minute ride, and I feel as if no one is discussing it nor the 500 pound Elephant in the Room known as TCF STADIUM which has made MY ride a lot longer. The "NEW" oak street (2) and a loop de loop around to the lots by University Village seem to have tapped greatly into the BUS route's time and as I inquired about it with others, I realized I wasn't the only one who noticed. Since I'm a man of solutions, I propose 3 resolutions and a bonus (3):
1. Leave for Saint Paul or Minneapolis earlier because this will not be resolved over night
2. Talk to your professors ahead of time if you happen to have cross-campus courses that are 15 to 20 minutes apart, since you don't wanna be known as "The girl/guy who always comes late".
3. The U needs to take a closer look at how to make this route faster and perhaps offer more of the already available express busses especially when one makes the Great West bank to Saint Paul student center trek. They would also need to put better express bus schedules since it almost seems like a random pick lottery as to when these things arrive.
4. It is "Minnesota cold" out here. Please consider adding heating to the sheltered stops in between the Moose Tower stops and the Saint Paul Student Center stops. Heck, while you're at it, consider adding it to the coffman stop as well because on a severely cold day 5 minutes daytime and 15 minutes night time can be too long a time for standing idly.
(1) If you don't know the Legendary Jazzman, then I must ask, what planet have you been living on ? You need to connect with the connector!
(2) The "New" Oak street no longer goes in front of the Alumni center but rather around it in a warped manner. The New Oak street is the "Scenic" route to Saint Paul campus. (I sound very minneapolis-centric uh?)
(3) Bonus? Slap it onto our tuition like everything else
.
