Sustaining the MSA Express
The University's Commitment

Last week the Student Health Advisory Committee at Boynton Health Services voted to begin the transition of the MSA Express into Boynton as a Campus Life Program. This is a big step for students, late-night safety, and the University community.

Currently the MSA Express is overcapacity. MSA has one van to run the program and has to turn away at least twenty callers every weekend night. In moving the MSA Express to Boynton, the program will better be able to expand and thus better serve the students.

Late-night safety was the reason for this program’s inception and continues to be the number one reason why students use the service. With the expansion of the program, more students will be able to use a safe service.  Safety is always an important topic on this campus and this program is an important step to reduce possible thefts and attacks.

Finally, Boynton’s decision to take over the program shows the University community’s commitment to student safety. As a student, community member, and student body president, I feel that our University is going in the right direction.
