Sorry for not having a pregame, I just got my internet key pass. I also just got a new car, which I drove up to the Cities in from back home this afternoon, had just enough time to shower and change, and then hop on 94 to get to the game just in time to say hi to a few people and watch the face-off.
Anyways, Tony Lucia scored 25 seconds into the game when he redirected a shot from the point past Weslockey for seventh goal of the year. Kaufmann and Peltier assisted on the play.
But St. Cloud State answered back seven minutes later with a power-play goal from Garret Raboin-a - his second of the season.
Interesting fact is that with Tom Pohl out injured, Lucia has really mixed up the lines. Wheeler and Gordon are now matched with White instead of Howe, with whom the duo had mild success in recent weeks. Line two is unchanged Carman between Barriball and Hoeffel. Three is also the same with Lucia and Flynn around Kaufmann - the third line also got its third-straight start tonight. Line four reads Howe, Fisher, Bostrom left to right and defense is the same.
The Gophers hold an 11-1 shot advantage going into the second period but have also been called for four of the first period's six penalties including Ben Gordon's hooking penalty that led to the Huskies PP goal.
