MarQueis Gray will be eligible to enroll at the University after passing his ACT test, GopherIllustrated.com reported Wednesday morning.
Gray, a four-star quarterback from Indianapolis, participated in fall practice with the Gophers, but was ruled ineligible September 2 after the ACT flagged his test scores.
After the Gophers announced the news, Gray released a statement saying, “I’m confident that I can clear up my situation this fall and I’m excited to rejoin my teammates at Minnesota.”
Rated 2007’s third-best dual-threat quarterback in the country by Rivals.com, Gray will likely compete with David Pittman for the back-up job to Adam Weber next season.
