Gophers freshman forward Rachael Bona was named the WCHA Women's Rookie of the Week for the week of Jan. 25.
With Minnesota trailing 2-0, Bona scored the Gophers' first goal in Friday's 3-2 victory vs. Bemidji State, and helped spark a comeback in the process. The Coon Rapids native has four goals and five assists on the season.
Bona is the sixth Minnesota player to be honored with a weekly award this season.
