Moulton, Richardson honored by Big Ten

Pitcher Sara Moulton and third baseman Kaitlyn Richardson were honored Monday with Big Ten weekly awards. Moulton was named Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season and Richardson was named Freshman of the Week for the second week in a row. 

Moulton allowed three unearned runs and zero earned in 22.0 innings over a span of three games. She no-hit Florida Atlantic University in the Minnesota's 5-1 victory. She struck out 34 batters on the weekend, including 14 batters against FAU. She allowed just seven hits on the weekend. 

Richarson finished the weekend with a .538 batting average. She drove in three runs and scored five no the weekend. She went 2-2 in Minnesota's loss to Boston College and 3-3 in the Gophers 13-0 rout of Bethune Cookman.

The Gophers will return to action next weekend in Boise, Ida.
