Former women's team athlete Gabriele Anderson placed fourth in the 1,500-meter run final Sunday, crossing the line in 4:07.38. She needed to break the top three for a chance to travel to London.
Anderson was temporarily disqualified from the final after fellow racer Amy Mortimer filed a complaint that Anderson impeded her in the semifinal. USA Track and Field allowed Anderson back in the final after a successful appeal.
