Two Gophers divers won Big Ten Conference Diver of the Week awards Tuesday.
Junior Maggie Keefer earned the title after winning both 1-meter and 3-meter this weekend in the Jean Freeman Invite. She scored 318.65 in 1-meter and 326.40 in 3-meter. Both are season-highs for Keefer and NCAA Zone Diving qualifying marks. This is Keefer's eighth weekly award and third of the season. She last won Oct. 30.
Senior Mikey Ross also garnered the same honor. He likewise won 1-meter and 3-meter at the Jean Freeman Invite. His 1-meter score of 361.90 and 3-meter score of 374.55 were NCAA Zone Diving qualifying marks. His 1-meter score was also the highest of any Gophers diver this season. This is Ross's first weekly award of his career.
Minnesota will not compete again until Jan. 12 in Hawaii.
