Minnesota's softball team will kick off its season Feb. 9 against DePaul in Las Vegas, Nev. The team will play 35 games on the road before playing a home game at Jane Sage Cowles Stadium. Its first home series will come April 5-7 against Wisconsin.
The Gophers will travel from coast to coast, playing in six nonconference tournaments from California to Florida, before kicking off the Big Ten on March 22 at Iowa.
Unlike last season, when teams typically played a Saturday doubleheader and a single game Sunday, Big Ten teams will — for the most part — play three games in three days: Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Last season, the Gophers finished 31-22 with a 10-14 conference record.
