The Gophers women's golf team is ninth out of 12 teams after day one of the Central District Invitational. Minnesota shot 40-over par through the first two rounds for a team score of 616. Vanderbilt is first with a team score of 588.
Sophomore Anna Laorr led the Gophers in both rounds with rounds of 76. She is tied for 23rd at 8-over par. Sophomore Carmen Laguna, who is tied for 27th and one shot behind Laorr, shot a 76 in round one and a 77 in round two.
Sophomore Sarinee Thitiratanakorn and senior Jackie Shepherd both shot 156 through two rounds. Sophomore Taylor Quinn rounds out the lineup for Minnesota with a 163.
The Gophers will play their third round Tuesday morning at the River Wilderness Golf Club.
