Freshman forward Dani Cameranesi was named the WCHA Rookie of the Week on Wednesday after a four point weekend against Minnesota-Duluth. Cameranesi scored her first collegiate goal on Friday and added two goals and an assist Saturday.
Cameranesi is fifth on the Gophers with six points on the season. Last year, as a senior at the Blake School, she was named 2013 Minnesota Ms. Hockey. In September, Cameranesi was named the WCHA Preseason Rookie of the Year.
Cameranesi and the Gophers will head up to Bemidji this weekend to take on Bemidji State on Friday and Saturday.
