Senior defender Becca Roberts was named to the Big Ten Women's Soccer All-Tournament Team Sunday afternoon, after helping the Gophers get their first postseason win under head coach Stefanie Golan.
Roberts, a Lino Lakes, Minn. native, helped the Gophers shutout No. 25 Michigan Wednesday night, allowing the team to advance to the Big Ten Tournament semifinals. Roberts and the Gophers defenders also played well in Friday's loss to Wisconsin, only allowing one goal after allowing four in their match with the Badgers during the regular season.
Roberts has appeared in every match for the Gophers this season, recording two assists. Roberts has appeared in 70 matches throughout her Gopher career, and was named to the Big Ten All-Freshmen team her first year.
Roberts and the rest of the Gophers will find out Monday afternoon if their season will continue in the NCAA tournament.
