Corrections:The Oct. 19 article, “Meeting at UV focuses on safety,” should have reported that Brandon Stengel is a University graduate student and resident director at Dinnaken House. Stengel is not a Minneapolis police officer. The article also should have reported that the building near where the gun was found is Dinnaken House and the company is Dinnaken Properties Inc. Also, the information about where the gun was found and speculations about how the gun got there should have been attributed to police reports.

Corrections:The total amount raised was actually the fifth highest in the University Foundation's 42-year history but was short of a record. The article also should have reported that the Alumni Wall of Honor is being funded completely through private gifts, and principally through a gift from a donor whose express wish was to honor outstanding alumni.
