Responsibilities

Creates a regular column for publication.

Creates content for the blog, unfit for print.

Works with Editorials & Opinions Editor on matters of space, content and style.

Works within deadline for publication.

Qualifications

Excellent writing skills including the ability to write consistently interesting and timely material.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Must be a University of Minnesota student.

Essential Functions

Must have the ability to hear and speak English clearly.

Regularly requires the ability to visually analyze newspaper content.

Frequently requires verbal intelligence to convey ideas and knowledge to the editor and other reporters.

Frequently requires repetitive finger motion and finger dexterity.

May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions while obtaining information for a story.
