Sports Intern

Responsibilities

• Responsible for producing one story or more per week.
• Works directly with the Sports Editor to improve basic reporting and writing skills.
• Assists other Sports Reporters.
• This is a training position.
• All interns are expected to participate in on-going training at the Daily.

Qualifications

Must have a strong interest in Sports and story production.

Must be a University of Minnesota student.

Essential Functions

Must have the ability to hear and speak English clearly.

Regularly requires the ability to visually analyze newspaper content.

Frequently requires verbal intelligence to convey ideas and knowledge to the editor and other reporters.

Frequently requires repetitive finger motion and finger dexterity.

May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions while obtaining information for a story.
