Finance Analyst

Responsibilities
  • Assists in maintaining general ledger and reconciliations of accounts receivable and cash accounts.
  • Ensures accurate tax reporting, accounting and closing entries.
  • Continuously identifies, exposes, addresses, and finds resolutions for accounting problems and questions.
  • Helps in maintaining and enforcing the Daily’s credit policies.
  • Forwards past due accounts to legal counsel or conciliation court for legal action or to collection agencies.
  • Help in managing all aspects of billings.
  • Assists with reconciling accounts receivable.
  • Assists with miscellaneous projects as directed by the Controller.
  • Fills in for staff as needed.

  • Qualifications
  • Attention to detail essential, along with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and very strong analytical skills are a must.
  • Knowledge of accounting systems is necessary.
  • Previous credit/customer service experience desired.
  • Must be a University of Minnesota student.

  • Must have the ability to hear and speak English clearly.
  • Frequently requires the ability to visually analyze financial documents.
  • Requires numerical intelligence when dealing with financial matters.
  • Frequently requires verbal intelligence to convey ideas, knowledge and thorough critiques for accounting staff.
  • Regularly requires repetitive finger motion and finger dexterity.
  • May occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
