The first issue of each semester is a great spot to start advertising. First day issues are published on the first day of classes every semester. These editions have high readership and are an opportunity to let readers know who you are and that you want their business.

Employment Guide: 09/24/08
Published each fall semester, this issue features both full and part-time career and job opportunities. The Employment Guide is distributed during The Minnesota Daily's fall job fair held in the student union on the Minneapolis campus. This option is the best way for recruiters to reach the job seekers they need.

Halloween and Valentine Spreads: 10/28/08, 02/11/09
The Halloween and Valentine spreads are designed by our award-winning Advertising Production department as a visual showcase for local businesses and venues running promotions. Students and faculty use them as a guide to find events and sales. The spreads run for a portion of the week. These spreads run for four and three consecutive days respectively, beginning on the day listed.

Elections Guide: 10/27/08
Published each election year, this issue provides information for the University community to help them make their voting decisions. The guide features profiles of candidates and their stances on different issues. The Elections Guide will run alongside our normal publication as a B-section. This is a great opportunity to reach students who are engaged in their government as voting citizens.

Finals Issues: 12/12/08, 05/11/09
Our last issue of each semester is uniquely designed and filled with satirical content as a means of brightening students' stressful final exam weeks. These issues are on newsstands for the duration of each exam week, so this is an excellent opportunity to buy a week of advertising for a fraction of the price.

Housing Guide: 02/25/09
With a diverse campus such as the University's, everyone has a different definition of "home." That is why The Minnesota Daily publishes an annual Housing Guide in the spring to inform readers of options for both on-campus and off-campus living.

Graduation Issue: 05/14/09
This year marks the first time The Minnesota Daily will be publishing a guide specifically aimed at graduates and their families. The Graduation Guide gives parents, families, and friends an opportunity to submit well wishes to their graduates, making this an issue many will hold onto for a lifetime. A copy of the issue will be given to those attending the graduation ceremonies in May.

Survival Guide: 06/08/09
The Survival Guide is one of the most popular papers of the year, offering advertisers the opportunity to reach more than 6,000 incoming students and their parents. The issue will be inserted throughout the summer and placed on each new student's bed at orientation. A copy will also be inserted into each paper on the first day of school.
