Since becoming one of the first student newspapers to publish online in 1995, The Minnesota Daily Online, located at mndaily.com, has grown rapidly. More than 10,000 unique visitors come to our Web site every issue. We have won awards for our online version and are constantly striving to update and improve the Web site. In fact, 2008 saw the launch of a completely revamped mndaily.com. In addition to a refreshed layout and exciting new content, additional online advertising options are available.

The Drink and Dine site, located online at drinkanddine.biz, is a restaurant and bar directory that has become a valuable resource for students and faculty on and around campus. Users can search our database of locations based on area, specials, hours, and more. No matter the size or type of your establishment, Drink and Dine can be your connection to the university community. While listings and specials are free to submit, there are still plenty of advertising options to help further promote your establishment.
Front Page Placement: $35.00 Per Month
This option places a photo of your establishment on the front page of Drink and Dine along with a brief description.
Featured Site: $50.00 Per Week
New this year, the mndaily.com home page will have a Drink and Dine Featured Site each week, displayed on the sidebar.
Premium Site: $100.00 Per Month
The Premium Site package includes the front page placement option, a menu, downloadables, and coupons.
Video Box: $4.00 Per 1,000 Impressions
This option places a 300 x 250 button or video box on search results, restaurant browsing, specials, and faq pages.
Tower Ad: $3.00 Per 1,000 Impressions
This option places a 120 x 600 vertical tower on main restaurant listings.
The new Minnesota Daily online classifieds can now be found at listitdaily.com. We've recently expanded beyond a simple online linage listing to a full-fledged marketplace where anyone can find student housing, textbooks, events, on-campus jobs, and anything else someone could be looking for in the University of Minnesota community.
Unlike other online classifieds options, we offer the most localized categories and provide the best opportunity to reach students and faculty members. It is free for anyone with a University of Minnesota e-mail address to view, post, and respond to a listing. While they are relying on our site to sell a piece of furniture, find an out-of-stock textbook, or browse events on campus, they are guaranteed to see your listing in the process.
Placing Listings
To place a listing online, simply click on the Post Ads link at the top of listitdaily.com, follow the on-screen instructions, and pay with a credit card.
To place a listing over the phone any time between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, call The Minnesota Daily classified linage desk at 612-627-4140 and one of our representatives will assist you.
Listings appear online for 30 days, then are deleted.
If you place an ad with an @umn.edu e-mail address, the listing is free.
You can place a linage advertisement to run in our print edition through the website, however the deadline changes to 2 p.m., two days before the day of publication.
