Police search for missing U student

Police said in a social media post the woman’s purse had been located.

Police are asking for the public’s help in searching for a University of Minnesota student who has been missing since early Friday morning.

Jennifer Houle, 22, was last seen at Blarney Pub and Grill in Dinkytown Friday between 1 and 2 a.m.

Houle is described as 5-foot-5 and 140 pounds with long blond hair. She was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, green blouse, black leggings, and boots.

According to flyers posted in the Dinkytown area calling for help locating Houle, she is a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. Minneapolis police said in a social media post that Houle’s purse was located at 3 a.m. Friday on the 1100 block of Fourth Street Southeast, a block from the sorority’s house.

Houle is a senior studying business and is set to graduate this spring from the Carlson School of Management, according to the flyers.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or text to 847-411, enter MPD and the tip, or call the tipline at 612-692-8477.
