University Chief Information Officer Studham resigns

The University of Minnesota’s vice president and chief information officer has resigned, according to a school spokesman.

Scott Studham, who came to the University in 2012, resigned Friday, University public relations director Evan Lapiska said in an email statement.

Studham’s departure comes a month after another high-ranking administrator resigned amid sexual harassment complaints

But Lapiska said Studham’s resignation was not related to the recent resignation of former Athletics Director Norwood Teague or the leave of absence taken by Executive Associate Athletics Director Mike Ellis.

“The University thanks Mr. Studham for his service and wishes him the best as he pursues other opportunities,” Lapiska said in his statement.

Associate Vice President for Information Technology Bernard Gulachek will serve as interim vice president and CIO while the University conducts a national search for Studham’s replacement.
