Gophers forward Amanda Kessel has been named WCHA Offensive Player of the Week for the Week of Feb. 8 after scoring 8 points (3 goals, 5 assists) in last weekend's series against St. Cloud State.
Kessel, who leads the Gophers in scoring this season with 58 points, scored a career-high 6 points (2 goals, 4 assists) in an 8-1 victory on Friday, and added a goal and an assist in Saturday's 7-0 win.
She has now been named Offensive Player of the Week three times this season (Oct. 12 and Nov 23).
