Sara Moulton was named Pitcher on the Week by the Big Ten after throwing just the 15th no-hitter in Gophers history in the Sportco Kick-Off Classic. Moulton no-hit Kent State in a 2-0 Minnesota win on Saturday.
She pitched in all four games thoughout the weekend, and went 2-1. She posted a 0.74 ERA in 19 innings while striking out 24 batters. Her one loss was a complete game against UNLV.
This is the second time she has received this honor. She was also named Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 14, 2011.
